Rare and Foreign Coins
Many foreign coins, including those from the Kingdom of Norwold, circulate in Minrothad. The rarest coins are older foreign ones no longer in use in their home countries.
- Trade and Melting: Every four years, the government attempts to trade these older foreign coins back to their countries of origin. If a favorable trade deal is not reached, the guilds threaten to melt the coins down to strike new local currency.
